Visit a tropical oasis in the outskirts of the capital at Seychelles National Botanical Gardens, teeming with rare and endemic plant life. Established over a century ago, the gardens stand as one of the oldest national treasures of the Seychelles, extending across 2 hectares (5 acres) of undisturbed flourishing plant species. Walk beneath the shady canopies of rare palms, observe the spice and fruit trees, and snap photos of the vibrant palette of native orchids. Keep an eye out for the gardens' Aldabra giant tortoises, which can live up to 150 years. A convenient cafe offers welcome refreshment amidst rainforest scenery. • This botanic garden was the highlight of our visit to Victoria. It is huge, kept well maintained and clean, and there is a lot to see with the different style gardens within.  more »

  • At the heart of Victoria, Botanical Garden stands out as the to go place. With beautiful naturally endemic and planted plants, this place is simply breathtaking. Its open to the public at a cost of 100 Rupees to visiting tourists. For the locals and anyone who bears the national identity card, entry to the Botanical Garden is free. Its clean, neat and well maintained with pathways well labelled.
  • Beautiful place, absolutely worth to visit. A little bit more explanations on the several plants species would have been helpful.
