Anse Intendance, Mahe Island

A remote spot nestled on the southwest of the island, Anse Intendance offers wild, pristine beach tranquility. Follow the mangrove-lined jungle path past the one nearby resort, to white powdered sands and corner after corner of sun-kissed seclusion. Swimming is not advised from June to September due to strong currents, although the lack of reef does attract daring surfers throughout the year. The beach has few nearby facilities, so pack a picnic and plenty of water. Plan your visit to Anse Intendance and a wealth of other attractions, well-known and undiscovered, using our Baie Lazare day trip planner.
