Anse Fourmis, La Digue Island

3.3
#15 of 16 in Beaches in La Digue Island
Fringed by coconut palms that provide plenty of shade, Anse Fourmis is a remote beach popular with sunbathers looking for a quiet spot with views. This small stretch of white sand slopes gently into the ocean. Swimming, though, can be dangerous--especially at high tide--due to strong underwater currents. Amenities are scarce, so take plenty of water and snacks if you're planning a longer stay. • Beautiful bike ride or walk to arrive in a unique site, preserved and little visited. As pure as it gets!

  • The road goes well all by bike, has no shade, and right side to the road, not beautiful and not bad, of course in La digue there are better.

  • Anse ants is the terminus of the road on the East Coast. The Cove is relatively crowded because all stop unable continue to bike, and settle a bit on the beach before returning to the past. But really nothing particular, no background to really bathe and little shade for lounging on the beach.

  • Just because it is located on the island of la digue it deserves 5 stars however this beach is not recommended on maps due to strong currents that influence the suitability for swimming, its location makes during the morning's joke from the Sun but from the first afternoon is totally in shadow. In addition to these beaches totally without any support (not that the other have to wait who knows what, but the Lady making smoothies is better than nothing)
