The site of a ritualistic pilgrimage, Safa to Marwa must be visited by all Muslims performing Hajj or Umrah, part of one of the five pillars of Islam. Believed to be the location where Ibrahim's wife, Hajar, searched for water for their infant son, the hills are nestled within the grounds of a sacred mosque and attract thousands of visitors per year. To complete the ritual, pilgrims walk back and forth between the hills seven times, traveling a distance of roughly 3.2 km (2 mi). I visited Safa and Marwa with my family while we were performing ummrah, and it was one of our most memorable experiences. The interior of the building is beautiful, and the fact that it wasn't too crowded created a calm, spiritual atmosphere. There is plenty of room to pray at the ends of the path, and there are water fountains every fifty metres or so. The entire area is air conditioned, and kept clean by dozens of staff members. They also provide wheelchair services for the elderly and disabled. Overall, we all found our visit simply amazing, and can't wait to return.
A very good and cool & calm place for Hajji's to perform the seven round "Sai". For further eases of Hajji's there has been made 3-4 layers of it. One with the original experience including Safa Marwa tiny rocks, the other pretty much plain pathway. And the most upper one for the old and senior Hajji's to able to use electronic bikes and wheelchairs. It is also the most longest one length wise.
