Konigsberg Cathedral, Kaliningrad

Pay your respects to a famous German philosopher and admire an excellent example of brick Gothic architectural style at Konigsberg Cathedral. Built in 1933 while the city was under German rule as the capital of East Prussia, the structure showcases murals, wooden carvings, and monuments from different artistic movements over several centuries. Enter to see a number of medieval, Renaissance, and late Gothic works of art, as well as the tomb of famous philosopher Immanuel Kant. Although the church was damaged during World War II, it was restored in the 1990s. • History breathes every stone of masonry, a gift that the cathedral first tried to destroy, and then restored. It's a great organ. And of course the memory of Kant...

  • The cathedral is located in the main attraction of tourists, on the island of Kanta. The cathedral is not just a cultural and historical monument, it is a real symbol of Kaliningrad and the oldest church of the city. The organ hall of the cathedral regularly hosts concerts of classical and religious music. Organ mini-concerts take place daily at 2 p.m.

  • It's a museum and not a church. There is a very big and beautiful pipe organ, that's something to see but nothing much. It's more like a place for concerts.
  • The museum is built on three floors with E Kant is the central figure. The Russian/German historians did a great job collecting, restoring and displaying a pig collection of artifacts from that period(coins, buttons, keys and more).
