Walk, cycle, jog, take a boat ride on the lake, or just sit in one of the quiet, shady corners of Herăstrău Park. The park was laid out in the 1930s on the lakeshore, which had been the favorite promenade for the city's rich since the late 19th century. Today you'll find numerous attractions, including an open-air village museum, a royal palace, an old-fashioned fairground, an aquarium, a summer theater, and many small pavilions hosting art exhibits. Walk its alleyways lined with roses, old trees, water fountains, and benches. As you walk, notice the park's many sculptures representing statesmen, artists, poets, and fictional characters, such as Prince Charming. Explore summer terraces on the lakeshore, visit the tennis courts, rent a bike, or stop for a bite to eat. The park also features a memorial to Michael Jackson. Herăstrău Park is just one of the many highlights you can arrange to see using our international travel planner, Bucharest Edition.

Herăstrău Park Reviews
Appena dietro all’arco di trionfo si estende questo parco immenso e curatissimo! You can lose yourself among the paths and meadows, walk around the Lake, decide to turn the ferry that crosses it. You can rent a bicycle outside but must be a card. Pleasant experience and the green lung of the city to explore with calm and tranquility!
A noi questo parco è piaciuto moltissimo. Pulito, sicuro, con grandi spazi e varie aree gioco per i bambini. Ci abbiamo trascorso un’intera giornata facendo anche una visita al museo del villaggio. For those who want to spend a few hours relaxing
Herastrau Par is the second oldest park in Bucharest. Rent a bike or a boat or just walk! It is good for running but also lazy weekend with many terraces and great restaurants. If you are already in the park, take the time to visit the Village Museum which is literaly next to it. I am confirming that it is a bit crowded on weekends, because it is a REALLY nice park!
Do you want to feel free and leave behind you everything... Herastrau is this part of heaven you can find close to you...
