The 2nd left 40 minutes late, without explanation, and was not able to access Salazie at all. The flight lasted 40 minutes instead of 55. Disappointed. The refund offered is 40 euros per person, the same as our friends who took a much more complete tour! The following flights are cancelled due meteo, we would have preferred a postponement too, or that our chopper leaves on time! Helilagon is not responsible for the meteo, of course, but it should have been better managed, either a deferred flight, or on time, or a correct refund in view of what we have done.
Pour les touristes, une façon de découvrir des sites inaccessibles, mais dommage que les vols se prolongent au delà du début de matinée, car cela perturbe la quiétude des cirques, more »For tourists, a way to discover inaccessible sites, but a pity that the flights extend beyond the beginning of the morning, because it disturbs the tranquility of circuses,
Overall the flight was ok. Unfortunately, I had the “luck” to sit in the backseats with three large people and I couldn’t even move my arms to take a picture with my phone, let alone take out my big camera. Honestly, I’m not a skinny person at all, but when you’re squeezed into a row with three other people and the sweat of your neighbor is slowly dripping on your arm, the whole experience turns a bit into the wrong direction. Furthermore I think they should mention somewhere online or in the flyer that half of the passengers won’t get a window seat. If you pay almost 320€ you want to see the mentioned panorama and not just the guy next to you while he’s trying to take pictures. Most sightseeing flights would tell you that before or guarantee a window seat with less passengers on board. Still, the pilot was very friendly and gave great informations about everything (in french) and to see the island from this point of view is very special! I wanted to give this feedback directly at the Helilagon office but the shuttle driver was already hurrying up to take us back to the hotels. In the end I think, I would do another flight over Reunion Islands but probably with another company or an ULM plane. So I could compare the expiriences. Kind Regards, Mr. Dario
Absolutely fantastic A must do Special thank to Jean Sébastien the pilot !
