Visit Galicia Jewish Museum, a small but modern museum in a culturally rich Jewish quarter, Kazimierz. The exhibits attempt to showcase the vibrant life that the neighborhood was once known for. It was founded in 2004 by photojournalist Chris Schwarz to celebrate the Galicia Jewish population that was decimated in World War II. The central exhibit features a series of photographs called "Traces of Memory" that share the history of the Galicia Jews over 800 years. Three different temporary exhibits rotate through the attraction year-round. The open space, resembling a factory, is popular for events, concerts, film screenings, and lectures. Visit the attraction's website for a current schedule. Both the founder of the museum and the scholar who helped him are British, so all the information is available in English. • In the interesting and diverse Jewish quarter of the city a very sophisticated series of pictures of the history of Jewish persecution in Poland. Moving photos and reports - very touching.

  • This was an interesting and instructive museum, however, we experienced many times that the texts were more interesting than the pictures. With more/more content-rich images, I think the experience had become better. Incredibly important story that everyone should take part of. Given the low price of a ticket, I can definitely recommend this museum.

  • Very informative museum with great captures that bring history to life. A bit too much information for which a couple hours need to be reserved, but a great experience overall.
  • Very interesting museum showing a collection of pictures from the 1970s, impact of the holocaust and how the Jewish community has reestablished itself in Kraków. The museum has its own collection of bees and whilst we were there, there was an exhibition of how you extract honey from the hives. It was quiet whilst we were there plus there is a large book shop as well.
