Discovered by local Maori people nearly 500 years ago, the cave served as a sacred burial site before opening to public in 1904.   • Great cave formations with many types of stalagtites. Decent glow worm sections. Very accessible and dry. Not as impressive as the wsitomo caves, but we'll worth a stop.  more »
