Formerly the site of an artillery battery, Bluff Hill Lookout offers a sweeping vantage point surveying the area's coastal scenery. Head uphill via a relatively easy hike, or go by car and take advantage of the parking area at the summit. Upon reaching the top you'll be rewarded with a panorama over Hawke's Bay, the surrounding hills, and the city's working port--one of the country's busiest. You can even sit and enjoy the view from one of the benches in the lookout's small brick shelter.     Went up here after cycling one of the Hawkes Bay trails, great to see a birds eye view of a working port, the weather was a stunner for April just neat  more »

    Great spot to see the sights. This was thr first place we went when we arrived in Napier and it was good to orientate ourselves. Fun to look down on the port and see it in action. Probably not many....  more »

    Great view of area and port. Activity at port very entertaining 😁 Public toilets. Picnic table. Seating. Plenty of grass areas for picnic. Limited shade so recommend a hat

    Lovely 45 min walk from Marine Parade, Napier though a bit steep in some sections...but for those wanting to take the leisure path just drive up Lighthouse road. great picnic spot.. just take the time out to relax and enjoy the Vista that nature provides.
