  Loved the whole setup of this place. Park in front of one of the best beech in NZ gives you opportunity to sit back and relax while you can see the water splashes through the shores.  more »

  Good long, easy to walk beach especially during low tide - wider than a couple of sports field during those time. Lots of parking and BBQ area in the park (no dogs in grass park). Usually very good...  more »

  Great family venue for summer and weekends. Popular exercise park with locals. Long beach with rocks at either end for exploring and further beaches to the north also accessible by walking track through bush. Beach is safe for swimming. Tens of thousands of people arrive from all parts of Auckland at peak times making the place vibrant and fun. Recommended

  Enjoy this national treasure. Bring a BBQ stay a few ours....play games...leave the tech at home or office and just connect with the earth and live rough n ready yet, simply and meaningful. TAKE YOUR RUBBISH WITH YOU!!!! Be a tidy whateverkiwi.....just do it.
