When in Kathmandu, don’t forget to pay a visit to Kathmandu Durbar Square, a World Heritage Site surrounded by historic buildings. Although the square has suffered extensive damage in the 2015 earthquake, many of the buildings remain standing and some will undergo refurbishments. Enjoy the traditional Nepalese architecture of the spacious square and get a feel for the Kathmandu city atmosphere. Admire the house of the Kumari, left unscathed in the earthquake, where the virgin goddess lives until reaching puberty. If you’re lucky, you may catch a glimpse of her passing by a window.   Good place to hangout with friends, get local tea and enjoy the historical monument. Lots of temples around to visit. Good place for alley walking and exploring local shops, many restaurants, mixture of old and contemporary building and shopping goods.

  It's a one of the world heritage site in Nepal. It's a historical palace . It has its own history to tell. But because of the latest earthquake in Nepal, some of its part has fallen. The reconstruction process is going on. A highly recommend place to all visitors.
