Agate Beach, Luderitz

#4 of 6 in Parks in Karas Region
Relax on the near-black sands of Agate Beach, and enjoy sunbathing, strolling next to the ocean, or meditating. The beach is renowned for its crystals and rocks, the most famous being agate, from which the beach got its name. Nowadays, taking rocks out of the complex requires the permission of the Nature Conservation Office ranger. Swimming is permitted, although there are no lifeguards.
