  • Burnt Mountain is a hill with a solidified lava flow at the foot of a 12 km long volcanic ridge at Damaraland in northern Namibia. The lava flow is 80 million years old. Its brown-black colours contrast with the surrounding beige rocks of 200 million years. Burnt Mountain rises above the surrounding area of approximately 200 meters and is not far from organ Organ Pipes about 10 kilometers southeast of Twyfelfontein. The entrance fee is 50 NAD (USD 3.50) and also allows access to the Organ Pipes that precede this place. Interesting but not to the point of going hundreds of kilometers to get there. we'll pair that with Twyfelfontein. Visit the 2 sites in about 30 minutes

  • Near the Twyfelfontein you come first to the organ pipes, which few propose. And then at the Burnt Mountain, which is only driving along more than enough... Not worth it, so both skip!
