At Cetinje Monastery, an important religious and historical center of Montenegro, you can view the royal regalia of Serbian medieval kings, including the crown of Stefan of Decani. The monastery holds several relics, such as the right hand of John the Baptist, particles of the true cross, the remains of St. Peter of Cetinje, and the royal clothing and accessories of Serbian Emperor Dusan the Mighty. Look for a tablet with the coat of arms of the Crnojevic family, which features a dedication to Ivan Crnojevic, the founder of the 15th-century monastery that was demolished by the Turks. The museum displays the part of vestment of Saint Sava, the founder of the Serbian Orthodox Church, as well as gold and silver chalices and all sorts of old church banners. Take a guided tour for a better understanding of the exhibits and the history of the monastery. Praise God for this wonderful experience and view of an old town in Cetinje- old capital of Montenegro- city which preserved Montenegrin cultural and historical heritage. Architecture dates back to XVII and XIX centuries. The view of the mountains with the mist billowing these areas are truly breathtaking. “For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse,” Romans 1:20 NKJV

Open for public orthodox Christian monastery. Great architecture, very famous saint relics for public views. Amazingly beautiful views right in front of the monastery. Very quiet and peaceful place. In close proximity to the monastery are located very old Church and beautiful park. Free restrooms available in the monastery (in the right, downstairs).
