Cerro de la Bufa, Zacatecas

4.6
See the city from 2,673 m (8,770 ft) above sea level on a trip up Cerro de la Bufa, a hill just east of the main urban area. The impressive, rugged spot offers uninterrupted views of the colonial city, along with a number of other attractions. Head to the museum at the top to learn about the Mexican Revolutionary War, and the battle that took place on this site in 1914. A chapel, begun in 1548 and completed two centuries later, represents another landmark atop the crest of the bluff, along with a mausoleum of the city's most esteemed citizens, an observatory, and a popular cable railway, connecting the hill to the city. • Amazing views! Breath taking! Great place to take some great pictures of the town. The only little thing the air is very thin due to the altitude so it can be difficult for some people to breath.  more »
  • Cerro de la Bufa is a obligated visit in Zacatecas. You can see the whole city from there. Nice views and nice local restaurants. Allowing you to eat barbacoa, birria, and local food.  more »

  • Very lovely view of Zacatecas Mexico you can take the cable car which cost 160 pesos per person round-trip or you can take an Uber which is probably more like 60 pesos for a car load. Your choice I don't really like heights so in retrospect I should have just taken the Uber
  • Great hill, it's not too much time to get to the top and it's really awesome. You can see all the city of Zacatecas in there, it's a great experience.
