Parish of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Puerto Vallarta

#1 of 9 in Historic Sites in Puerto Vallarta
Church · Tourist Spot
An iconic gem of downtown Vallarta’s skyline, Parish of Our Lady of Guadalupe offers unrivalled serenity. The relatively new church was not officially completed until 1987 when the front side and lateral towers were finally finished, although its construction began on October 12th 1921, a date still celebrated in the church today. Enjoy a tranquil stroll through the endearing structure, its architecture a patchwork of styles displaying an eclectic mix of neoclassical design, renaissance towers and a wrought iron crown echoing European baroque design. • I only took one shot but it was very lovely. We walked in and bought something from a nun to support the community. Beautiful scenery.  more »
  • Love this trademark church in the malecón in Puerto Vallarta. Beautifully traditional and unkept. I visit this church every time I’m here. Enjoy.  more »
  • A beautiful, inspiring place to worship! Highly recommended site to visit in central PV.
  • Beautiful church! Worth a visit! The way you light a candle was weird. Had to put a coin in and a led light turned on but I guess that it’s for fire safety.
