Basilica de Santa Maria de Guadalupe
Explore the massive, elaborate structure of Basilica de Santa Maria de Guadalupe, the central place of worship for the country's patron saint. Located on the spot where the Virgin of Guadalupe allegedly appeared in the 16th century, this structure remains one of Catholicism's major pilgrimage sites, known for housing the cloak of Saint Juan Diego. Erected in the 1970s, the circular church can hold up to 10,000 worshippers and boasts 15,000 niches in its main crypt. The shrine also houses a famous image of the Virgin, considered one of the most important religious depictions in Mexico. Right next to this landmark you can also visit an older church from the 18th century, known for its impressive facade and marble statues. Lots of beautiful buildings to see. Our Lady of Guadalupe is amazing and you can get great pictures right up close. The garden is also wonderful to walk through; lots of water fountains and the greenery is well kept. Lots to see here, definitely worth the visit.

Historical site of Our Lady's visit at the Church in Mexico City. What a beautiful and blessed experience to be there for the Anniversary. Families travelled great distances to participate in the Celebration of Our Lady's siting. What a motivational and inspirational place this is. You could feel the presence of Our Lady, Our Father, His Son Jesus, and The Holy Spirit as you journey through this Historic Church and these Holy grounds. Thanking Our Father for keeping us safe while we were there. The people are hardworking, loving, and caring souls.
