Dedicated to the general who liberated Ettelbruck from the Nazis in 1944, General Patton Museum General Patton Memorial Museum gives a comprehensive view of the Nazi occupation and the liberation. The two floors of the museum are densely packed with displays. The museum is small, so you can take your time browsing the weaponry, uniforms, and many photographs of the war years. Seek out the ghost army collection, which offers a handful of artwork depicting the war by artists who were also medics and soldiers. The museum also gives you the stories of both sides, so even though it is dedicated to Patton, a view of the struggles of both armies drives home the cost of war for all. We traveled from the US to visit this sight arranged our trip around open hours all to get here and find that the museum is closed. We visited on Oct 13, 2019 and the door was locked and looked to be.... more »

This museum was done so well we were there for almost 3 hours we would have stayed longer but we were driving to nierstein Germany where Patton’s third army crossed the Rhine. They have lots of... more »

A nice discovery, pretty much worth for the money as there is quite a lot to see (5€). Not only around the General Patton. They are renovating the outside to be ready for the remembrance day in septembre 2019. Presence of a large variety of items they found digging in the country.
