Come face to face with some of the region's most endangered giraffes at Giraffe Centre. Established in 1983 as part of a long-serving conservation project to protect the East African Rothschild giraffe, this nonprofit organization provides educational programmes for the young people of Kenya. Entrance fees help support the cause, and you'll get to meet, feed, and even touch these towering creatures from a raised observation platform. A forest trail also provides a pleasant walk through the undergrowth (watch out for the warthogs). If you're feeling thirsty, head to the teahouse for some refreshment amid ambient scenery. • Great experience, but isn't somewhere you stay long at. Kind of feels like you go and feed the giraffes, have them eat the food out of your mouth, take some pictures and visit is over Saying that...  more »

  • In this giraffe conservation park, you can see various types of giraffes, You can also collect feed from the conservation staff, feed giraffes, and there is a donation box for sponsorship funds You can also donate some funds to help with conservation activities. As a local guide, the most interesting thing is to let me experience the fun of feeding animals. The plan of this local guide allows me to introduce this conservation center so that everyone can visit here Learn the importance of animal conservation and have fun interacting with animals.
  • It is great to get up close and experience a Giraffe tongue. They are amazing. My second visit, but first to the small reserve opposite the centre, where the Giraffes overnight. Nice to walk around to spot birds & lizards. There is also a chap that does guided bird walking. I met him & had a chat, but didn't go on a walk. It would be worth it if you are into the birds & have little experience on them, I would think, & payment would go to a good cause.
