Kolsai Lake, Saty

Take a drive up to Kolsai Lake, three alpine lakes nestled among the dramatic cliffs and fir forests of the Tian Shan mountain range. Six hours away from Almaty, the road leading to the lake area is bumpy but scenic, passing vast steppes and canyons. Explore the picturesque landscape of the hiking trails around the lakes, go fishing for trout, camp out, or visit a lakeside guesthouse. On a warm summer day, cool off with a dip in the lakes' clear, placid waters. To visit Kolsai Lake on your trip to Saty, use our Saty trip itinerary maker tool.
