Formerly an important staging and customs area for the city's busy port, Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse now contains restaurants, shops, galleries, and more within its sturdy walls. This pair of buildings stands out from much of the city's architecture, as the signature red bricks do not feature prominently in historic Japanese construction. Explore the shopping mall within, lined with hardwood flooring, to browse an array of quirky shops selling everything from handmade jewelry to warehouse-themed souvenirs. You can also find a few relatively big-name international brands here. Grab a bite to eat at the food court, which features a range of non-local cuisines and concepts, or head out to the waterfront to enjoy the view over the harbor. A romantic place to bring your date or family to! I was here on 27 Feb 2019 on a Sunday and it was really crowded at about 530pm with majority of the crowds in the dining tents. It's a free activity which you can admire the red brick warehouses and also stroll along the wharf and lay your gaze upon the nostalgic cruise ship. Turn around and you'll be able to see the Ferris wheel and I recommend coming in the evening as the light show on the Ferris wheel is mesmerizing. Be sure to out on layers as the wind is really strong and cold during the winter months!
Beautiful and romantic place. This is just by Yokohama bay. Beautiful red brick warehouses here. It was used in old days here. The buildings are now shopping attractive places. You can have good lunch and dinner! You can buy good souvenirs here!! I highly recommend to visit with boyfriend or girlfriend!! You can see various seasons events! I went to Oktoberfest and Christmas market!! Great!!! Other than you can enjoy many events too!! Enjoy there!!
