Have a blast at Yokohama Cosmo World, an amusement park on the waterfront. With three distinct areas, geared towards different age ranges and tastes, the park aims to be as family-friendly as possible. Choose from white-knuckle roller coasters, pleasant water rides, and even more pleasant merry-go-rounds, then take a ride on that giant wheel you've been looking at and admiring from all around the city. Stop for a break in the open-air food court, with quick Japanese snacks available from a range of vendors. Decked out in lights, colors, and cartoons, the park entertains and captures the imagination throughout. Using our world travel planner, Yokohama attractions like Yokohama Cosmo World can form part of a personalized travel itinerary.

This theme park is free to enter. You will need to pay for tickets to ride each individual ride. I came here to ride the big ferris wheel (it cost ￥800). The view was very good, especially since I went on a clear day. Seems like a great place to bring kids or for a family outing. There are a few roller coasters and other types of rides too. The park itself is fairly small, but ride prices are reasonable.
This attraction park is perfect for kids between 3 and 12 (minimum size is often 95cm, but some attractions require 120cm or more). The great wheel is a nice place to have a view on the city. Unfortunately you will not see Fuji-san from there because it is behind buildings (you would need to go to Fuji-Q for that). If you do several attractions, I recommend you to take several discounted tickets (available for buys >1000 yens), because it is quite expensive the (attractions are usually >600 yens each/person). Overall, a reasonable place to spend half a day with your kids.
