Tokyo DisneySea, Urayasu

4.5
An original Japanese addition to Tokyo Disneyland, Tokyo DisneySea features nautically themed attractions, rides, and shows inspired by myths of the sea. The park contains seven different areas: Mermaid Lagoon, American Waterfront, Lost River Delta, Port Discovery, Arabian Coast, Mediterranean Harbor, and Mysterious Island. Check out the Venetian gondolas, an underwater world out of the imagination of the science fiction writer Jules Verne, and the S.S. Columbia steamship. Unlike its neighboring Disneyland, this park contains higher quality dining options where guests can order alcoholic beverages. • THE BEST DISNEY PARK EVER! I absolutely fell in love with Disney Sea it was AMAZING! The rides were so much fun and when we went the longest we waited was about 20 minutes. Must visit rides, Journey to the Center of the Earth and the Venetian Gondolas. So cool. Everything in the park is absolutely breathtaking. There are recreations of Italy and New York and the detail that you see is amazing. Arabian coast is beautiful and Mermaid Lagoon is just amazing Mysterious land is just that; mysterious. I don't think a Disney park has ever transported me like this one has. I fell in love! The curry popcorn is a must try and honestly any food is good in the park but Zambini Brothers was great for price and taste. Seriously though just going inside some of these restaurants is enough. Will be revisiting sometime and do 2 days here because the park is MASSIVE!
  • Overpriced and way too packed. You need to know how the express pass works to make the most of it. Definitely purchase your ticket beforehand otherwise its a long wait to buy a ticket. When your inside, use the express pass as soon as you can for a ride that you would like to go on. As after about an hour you can use the express pass again. That way you know approximately when it will be your turn. We took the express pass and some of our friends didn't they had to wait an extra hour before they could even get on the ride. The food is quite average and expensive. The merchandise is expensive which you would expect. It would be a good visit if you are a Disney fan. There are some quick rides but the roller coasters and all that will have quite a long wait. They put board up front on the estimated wait times which is good.
  • The rides are a ton of fun, but don't forget to just relax and take everything in. There are recreations of different places, like New York and Italy. I love just walking around. Visit all the restaurants, you don't have to order, just look at all the effort that went in to greater the ambiance. Make sure to get there early and just have fun. If you're going with a group, get the refillable popcorn pick, which let's you refill your popcorn the whole day so you can share with your friends! They're are so many flavors! My favorite was white chocolate popcorn. If you're going alone, you get priority to get on some rides so you can skip the lines!!! Very nice!
  • Typical of Disney, this place is gorgeous, magical, and the place was well taken care of--no trash. We choose to do the 'After 6' passport on a weekday, and even though it was "not too busy" according to Google, that still meant the best rides have a 40-80 minute wait. If you stay until dark, I would strongly recommend going on the Raging Spirits (it's not a super intense roller coaster, but it has some fun points) as it gives you an amazing view of not just the park, but also over into Odaiba. The food can be totally mediocre, so be selective as it'll be overpriced (as is typical of a theme park), but the rides and snacks make up for it.
  • Like any other Disney a lot of their stuff is overpriced, but not as bad as the US ones. Lines are long so is better to go during a weekday, there are calendars online of the best days to go. Clean and staff is super helpful.
