Tokyo Disneyland, Urayasu

4.2
The first Disney theme park outside of the United States, Tokyo Disneyland opened in 1983 to provide the same magic and fun that makes Disney World famous. The park contains seven sections: a World Bazaar, the four classic Disney worlds (Westernland, Tomorrowland, Fantasyland, and Adventureland), Critter Country, and Mickey’s Toontown. Featuring many of the beloved rides and attractions based on Disney’s classic films, the park draws tremendous crowds. Research tickets in advance and wear comfortable shoes to navigate the park’s vast open spaces. • Loved this park! The usual Disney magic. Really catered to English speakers, a lot of the parades and other shows were at least partially in English. Most staff members spoke a little English. Staff w...  more »
  • We went on a trip with my wife. Grow up from it felt Disneyland dream country. Was used to take pictures with Mickey's rides and attractions, tired hilarity (lol) on weekdays but crowded. Projection mapping of the night was really great.

  • All the staff were friendly and the entry and exit from as far as dreams can be unleashed. You have to use the fast track offering a taste of Japan, even in the winter, and sea breeze kicks in, so be sure to visit the character at the time of entry into the appliance, let us buy!

  • Although I have experienced many Disney experiences, I've never gotten my chance to go to Disneyland until Japan. They have such a huge variety of rides for all ages and have such unique themes and designs for their restaurants and staff members. If you get a chance to come, definitely check out the Electrical parade you don't want to miss it. It's very different from the one I experienced in Disney world and has a much greater variety of characters than seen in Disney World Orlando. I really like the Alice and Wonderland themed restaurant. Come and check it out if you like it just as much as I do!
  • Disneyland is fantastic. There is so much attention to detail at these parks. The food inside was cheaper than I expected, which was nice. I can’t understand why some rides had such long lines. The fast pass system wasn’t as great as I expected from a trip in Euro-Disneyland a long time ago. We redeemed a fast pass as soon as we got to the park, and our fast pass time was already 8 hours later. We didn’t bother collecting a second fast pass when we able to, because all of the times available were too late for us. I had an amazing time at Disneyland, and I thoroughly recommend visiting.
  • Very good park, the lines move quickly. Go during the week if possible. Still lots of people, but better. The walk from the train station is long, should have a shuttle service for the elderly. The staff and friendly and courteous. Five stars.
  • Nice place with cool rides for kids and adults alike. Food leaves something to desired for and the prices are high. If you are vegetarian or vegan you are s?¥&@ out of luck as you will need to sustain yourself on popcorn and water. But overall better experience than our last time at Universal Studios in Osaka.
  • The best Disneyland in the world in terms of facility, location, atmosphere, staffs attentiveness, and consideration among fellow visitors!!!!! However, we visited during the golden week so it was VERY packed. Line for some rides could really go up to 3 hours. Make sure you purchase tickets online prior to the trip to save the hassle and the time. It is best to stay at hotels around the park as it is located quite a distance from Tokyo. However as expected, management still able to maintain the place spotlessly clean. Staffs are very helpful and friendly (as with most places in Japan).

Visitors to Urayasu are usually heading to the theme park, which itself offers a number of hotels within its expansive grounds, with some fairly standard options sitting alongside showstopping luxury accommodations. But day trips to the theme park from other districts across the capital remain the done thing by most who visit Urayasu, with the park easily accessible via a number of public transport options. The university district to the northeast of the theme park provides a few hotels, including both budget and mid-range options.
