Bamboo Forest Street Reviews
W... more »The Bamboo Forest in Kyoto is very worth seeing. I have often read during the travel preparation, it makes sense to rent a bike directly at the train station. No idea how to give this tip. Luckily, we didn't do it. The bamboo forest is really mini and of course a huge crowd-puller. If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle, you can start by doing great hikes and explore the nature. The path through the bamboo forest is 20 minutes. Entrance fees must be paid for the tea house and the Tenryuji Temple with garden. Entrance and exit of the bamboo forest are surrounded by tourist facilities. Taxis and Rishka drivers are already waiting for guests. The panoramic train also starts directly at the exit. Anyone who thinks they can cycle through the bamboo path - far from it, that is forbidden. When we were there, there were far too many people on the way to Gioji Temple and around the Togetsukyo Bridge to cycle here. Shortly before the way to the Gioji Temple (before the lake on the left) starts a beautiful hiking trail. Here you can walk up to the summit and enjoy a spectacular view - sturdy footwear is mandatory.
Dejlig gåtur gennem de høje bambus. Der var godt med mennesker, men det gjorde faktisk ikke så meget. more »Nice walk through the tall bamboo. There was good with people but it didn't actually do that much.
