#3 of 35 in Childrens Museums in Tokyo
Children’s Museum · Hidden Gem · Museum
Watch the little ones get introduced to the world of work at KidZania Tokyo, an "edutainment center" that focuses on an array of different professions and activities. The interactive complex recreates a city on a smaller scale, with the convincing setting having all the facilities and services you'd expect to find in a modern-day metropolis. Kids learn about the work done by pilots, radio DJs, doctors, and much more, discovering the remit of each job through roleplaying, dressing up, and interacting with the trained instructors. • Took the children here for a morning out as a reward for seeing so much history and cultural experiences on the holiday. What a reward it turned out to be! A fantastic opportunity to try being a mini adult for the morning. The children were 11, 12 & 13 and had a ball. Took a while to warm up to the Japanese ways but soon got into the swing. Highly recommend. Wednesday’s are English speaking day and that was helpful. Many many staff to help the kids do their thing.
  • My child had a blast. One female employee working at the fire station was extremely inflexible, rude, and physically assaulted me because she did not care for the spot I was filming my child from. When you put your hands on people and begin shoving you encounter the potential of being punched in the face which she should thank buddha she didn't experience. When parents aren't doing anything except accompanying their child is charging full price really a good idea? They do not allow outside food to be brought in. Food prices inside aren't crazy but choices are very limited. They restrict you departing and eating elsewhere by allowing only one person from your group to leave at any single time.
