  • Eishoji Temple is a temple of the Jodo Sect located near Inaricho Station. I visited the shrine in the early morning of July. It is a temple of the main temple with good shape. The temple was founded in 1558 in Shimoya Onekoji-ji-ji-cho and relocated to its current location in 1637. This place is the birthplace of Kodokan Judo. It is said that the 12-tatami dojo built in this temple originated from Jigoro Kano, the founder of Kodokan Judo. It is a recommended spot for those who are interested in shrines, temples and judo.

  • The Seishubashi Street side seems to be the main gate, but if you follow the narrow approach right next to Exit 3 of Inari-cho Station, there is a delicious mountain gate. This temple was founded in 1558 by The Jodo Sect, which was built by The Son-do-ho, and is sandwiched between buildings, but the grounds were cleaned with a garden and white sand. It is said that this is the birthplace of Judo because it built the Kodokan in the precincts.
