  • The coal industry in the Chikuho region has been destroyed by oil, but it is a history museum where the history of the coal industry is well understood. There is also an exhibition of company housing at that time, but there is one thing that lacks a sense of life now. Are you missing enough accessories?

  • It is located on the site of the Mita Mine, Mitsui Tagawa Mining Co., Ltd., a small high place less than a 10-minute walk from Tagawa Ita Station. Google Maps shows you to leave the station building and go to the right, but there is a short-hand tunnel on the left side of the station building. It is a park like a well-maintained square, but two chimneys, a pit pit, and a steam locomotive (9600 form) preserved in the park tell the story that there used to be a coal mine here.
