  • This was one of the best tours I've ever been on. Our guide was exceptionally knowledgable and could answer complex questions in English. He was very kind, engaging and a bit funny too! I wasn't expecting much as we approached the building, but after having been now to several other museums, its astonishing how many original artifacts are housed here; way more than at Tokyo National, proportionally.
  • I highly recommend this museum! Definitely take a tour (they have English ones) because it's not a huge museum but the knowledge they have is way beyond what is just displayed. I'm so glad I went on our first day in Tokyo because it actually gave me a lot of historical context for some shrines we've seen. It's a fun museum because its interactive as well, some exhibits you can touch, put on, and they put on a weapons/samurai display at the end. Our guide Nanohan was great!
