  • The campus is spacious, there is a museum, there is a coffee shop, and there is a shop, and you can enjoy it very much. My dream is to walk my dog here.

  • The autumn leaves were almost over, but the scenery was very good and I was able to take a walk slowly. I felt that the campus was a blessed environment in nature. There were quite a few people who took a walk, a jog, and a picture because even the average person was free to enter. Poplar trees seem to have fallen down several trees in the typhoon, and now I feel lonely. It seems that it is not possible to enter either.

  • Hokkaido University is rated this year as one of the best 100 universities in the world. In the campus you will find many international students from different countries in the world. Many of the courses are taught in English language, although a larger number is taught in Japanese. Founded in 1876 by Williams Clerk. Near the main university gate is the administrative block, a cafeteria and the graduate school of environment. Also near the main gate there is a large space devoted to relaxation and you usually find people during the winter seating around and there is a clean pond that flows across the field.
  • One of the top schools of Japan, Hokkaido University feels a bit less bureaucratic and much more student-friendly than the other ‘Imperial Universities’. Their office and professors have always provided excellent advice whenever I needed their help, although this wasn't as a student and I never enrolled in their school. Hokkaido is a bit 田舎 but Sapporo is not, the 'ekimae' area of Sapporo is truly wondrous, so if you’re interested in a career in Japan I think Hokkaido University could be a good choice.
