Sumida Aquarium, Oshiage

3.4
#5 of 11 in Zoos & Aquariums in Tokyo
At Sumida Aquarium, see marine life up close in an ingeniously designed modern aquarium housing over 10,000 sea creatures. Part of a shopping and entertainment complex, the aquarium features a research laboratory, as well as tanks representing the habitats around Tokyo Bay. As you enter, notice how no visible support obscures your view through the tanks' thick, clear glass, enabling you to observe animals from any angle. Examine and photograph a wide range of species, including penguins, seals, jellyfish, and sharks. Note that lines can get rather long to enter. • For a person who loves goldfish, this is the aquarium to go! There are a few variety of goldfish here. Besides, there are jellyfish, seals, penguins, grouper and many other fish here.  more »
  • At the foot of the Sky Tree, there is no space because it is only the fifth and sixth floor of Solamachi. I knew that, and I had heard that the highlights were penguins and goldfish, so I didn't think I wanted to go aggressively. However, i got a coupon that i can go about half price by chance, but i came out, as expected at the beginning, it turned out that cospa is a facility that can never be said to be good. If it is a situation that a couple visits repeatedly every season in the annual pass to the return to work, it is absorbed in writing, and it might be able to enjoy, but there are a lot of kinds of people who kept it in uti when it is a child, and it is a goldfish of the centerpiece, The other is a good way to know.

  • Immaculate, the penguins didn't smell at ALL (how??? Do they achieve that? Amazing), a remarkable variety of jellyfish, and Very Aesthetically pleasing. Lost a star because you can always have more fish, I guess (we were there for maybe an hour and a half - it's by no means a large aquarium), but probably the best feature of Skytree Town.
  • Nice place to spend half a day! Not the most impressive aquarium but quite well maintained. Cute Penguins!
