  • It is a pleasant little shrine in good condition. It does not have a lot of the historic things you may see elsewhere, but it is interesting climbing up the many stairs.  more »
  • It is a 3-minute walk from the Sofukuji tram stop. The stone steps extend straight from the road toward the shinto gate. The torii gate is beautiful. Founded in 1626. Moved to its current location in 1638. It was renamed Yasaka Shrine in 1868. The festival gods are Sososon, Kiinada Himemei, Hachiman Daijin, and Oyama-Okami. It is said that many women visit the shrine's "Tsubaki Bijin Inari" from its name.
