  • The "Miselicordia Headquarters Ruins" was located on a stone line between the Nagasaki District Public Prosecutor's Office and the Nagasaki District Legal Affairs Bureau. In 1583, the temple was donated by Mr. Justino, a Japanese Christian, and his wife, Jesta. This was, incidentally, the year when four of the Tensho Missions to Europe left Nagasaki. Misericordia has many meanings in Latin, such as "mercy, mercy, mercy, mercy, mercy, mercy, good luck, and grace." In Catholicism, it's better to translate it as mercy and mercy.
