  • From Glover Garden, we went down Glover Street to the famous Shikai Ro. As the downhill downside of Glover Street soon ended, an old stone monument was erected on the left side of the road next to the ANA Crowne Plaza Hotel. It was written that it was "The birthplace of bowling Japan". Nagasaki was also the birthplace of bowling.

  • Nagasaki opened its first bowling alley (bowling salon) in Japan in 1861. There are two stone monuments related to the origin of bowling near Oura Cathedral. One of them is a simple stone monument with only carved letters on the right side of the uphill to Oura Cathedral. There is nothing reminiscent of the ruins of a bowling alley. It's just a place to glance when you're passing by.
