Nariaiji Temple Reviews
お寺までの道は観光バスが通るので、狭い所は少ないのですが、お寺に近... more »It is the 28th bill place in the mountain which looks down on Amanohashidate facing the Sea of Japan to the northernmost of the 33 places of the west country. Kannon instead of the main image of the main hall, a dragon facing straight, a bell without a sad story, a one-word Jizo, a large iron bath used in a hand water bowl, a five-story pagoda that has been restored in recent years, etc. are around for about 40 minutes. I was able to visit the shrine slowly at 8 o'clock in the morning on weekdays, and the air in the morning was a little cool. There are few narrow places on the way to the temple, so the closer you get to the temple, the steeper it becomes. After visiting, we stopped at the panorama observatory above the mountain from the parking lot and went back. If you use public transportation, there are buses that run on the private road from Umbrella matsu Park. On the day we visited, the private road was under construction and the bus was closed.
조용하고 건물이 너무 아름다워서 한참을 머물렀던 곳입니다. 오래된 곳인 것 같은데도 잘 관리되고 있음에 또 한 번 놀랐어요. more »It's a very nice place to stay. It seems to be an old place, but i was surprised again that it is well maintained.
There was some snow there when I visited this temple today. Very beautiful!
Narianji Temple : Nariaiji Temple is located on the north-west of Amano Hashidate up on the hill side of Mt. Nariai approximately at a point of 569 meters above the sea level. The temple is known as 28th point of sacred pilgrimage of 33 temples of ancient west-side countries in Japan holding Kannon Statues. the temple belongs to Shingon sect of Buddhism established in 704. Before the temple was once affected by severe landslide the main hall of the temple was located on a point with even higher elevation than the current position. The important cultural heritage of kannon statue is preserved in its main hall. Visiting this temple is believed to make your wish come true. There is a striking feature of five-story pagoda in its pricincts. This structure is built in 1998 with construction style of Kamakura period. There is a path along the side of the mountain next to the pagoda to an abservation point where you can get a wide panoramic view of Amano Hashidate. You also have an option to reach even higher elevation as you go along the road next to the entrance of the temple. It is about 5 minutes drive by a car approximately 2 km in distance. From this point you get to see the entire view of Miyazu Bay as well as Amano Hashidate. On a clear sunny day you can see as far as the sight of Echizen Coast in the far north-east of this location. There is a large structure of looped frame on the side of the mountain. This is a loop for Kawaranage. It is like a sacred frisbee that you make your wish before throwing them by aiming at the central point of the loop. It is believed that your wish will come true if you make it through the loop. Access to this area by public transportation is by a bus departs from Amano Hashidate Station. there is a service called Tango Kairiku Bus helps you to reach to the point of its Sanmon Gate.
