Mishima Taisha, Mishima

4.1
Try your luck with sticks and have your fortune read at Mishima Taisha, the grandest Shinto temple in Izu, famous for its cherry blossoms. A flowering explosion of 200 cherry trees of 15 varieties makes the shrine a popular spot in the blooming season. Many people get married here, admiring a 1,200-year-old sweet olive tree, a symbol of longevity. A small museum in the shrine displays national treasures, such as a decorated lacquer wooden box, a 14th-century sword, and a heart sutra dating back to 1203. The shrine also has a small deer park and a pond with large carp, and sits 10 minutes walk from Mishima railway station. • Take a new ride to the three cities halfway down, to go to these three big clubs, to note that the new to go out to the north mouth to go out than, the law does not ticket directly to the north entrance to the south mouth, this is worse than the jr national PASS is not bad, i have to go to the sanbig club to go to the south entrance than near. But even closer than, but also to walk on 15 minutes, the big day carrying luggage really a little hard, arrived at the shrine, found that here is very large, there is a large god pool, Yulin, the environment is very good, there are earth shops outside, the other parts are like some of the old shrines, like some of the god comfort, compared to other scenery, There aren't so many people here, and it's more slow to see, and in all, it's a shrine worth visiting.

  • I visited with my family at Shizuoka Destination. We also received a red seal, and went to a tea shop called "Taisha's More" to receive Fukutaro mochi. As soon as you enter the store, you will be exposed to the eye light of the male staff of the prime of life. I've seen you at a good age, but you're always intimidated by your eyes. In the midst of the intimidation, i get a special tycoon tea set, but my wife says, "His intimidation was too great and i didn't taste it" (laughs). I don't think i was in the store for five minutes. This is also a specialty, isn't it? When returning trays with bowls and dishes, they are also grumpy, and only bad aftertaste remains. Mr. Taisha is nice, and it feels good after most of the visits, but it was disappointing.

  • I love visiting Mishima, Japan for the Taisha Mishima shrine. I find peace here. There are many things to do such as deer that you can feed (small fee), fish in a pond that you can also feed, vendors that sell merchandise (on a particular weekend) and pictures that you can take.
  • Chanced upon this place while returning to Mishima station from Mishima skywalk. The sights were beautiful at sunset, along with the Cherry Blossoms. Definitely worth a visit during the Cherry Blossoms season.
