Admire the tiny landmasses of Matsushima Bay, a coastal area known for its scenery, wealth of vantage points, and sightseeing cruises. From the mainland, four long-established viewpoints represent the most popular way of experiencing the bay; visit them all for different vistas of the offshore collection of pine covered islands. Alternatively, opt to take one of the many cruises around the bay for up-close inspection of the varying rock formations, as well as the black and red pines topping the 260 grey rock islets. • Really must take a boat to see one of the three scenes of Japan - Matsuo, the characteristic is that there are many small mountains on the pine cover, but also has a very good protagonist - hai, will always follow the boat, very interesting, worth a visit! Good order and New Year's day, the ferry ticket ticket also has benefits!

  • The boat ride lasts 45 minutes, and offers beautiful views of the bay and especially the very cut-out islands, quite spectacular, which dot it. They have shapes dug or shaped by the sea. The best known is pierced by 4 arches. Some small islands had to be artificially consolidated. It should also be remembered that these 230 islands broke the strength of the 2011 tsunami and protected the city, which suffered little. Let's also remember that "matsu" - pine and "shima" - island: it is the island of pines.

  • Nice boat ride.
  • Gorgeous! One of the traditional "Three Views of Japan", a couple dozen small islands dot a pristine bay. Bridges and boats link many of the islands. The area has been a natural landmark for centuries, and as such sculptures and small obelisks are arrayed on the islands. To offer a geeky aside: if you're a fan of the games of Cyan Worlds, the islands super feel like an area out of Myst. ;)
