Tofuku-ji Temple, Kyoto

4.4
Serene and ornate, Tofuku-ji Temple operates as a traditional Zen Buddhist shrine. Erected in 1236, the temple was accurately restored in the 15th century after a devastating fire destroyed much of its structure. The temple boasts a Japanese national treasure, an imposing two-storied gate considered one of the most beautiful examples of Buddhist temple gates. Look for the temple's intricate woodwork and extensive gardens, each of which is landscaped differently to symbolize images and themes in Zen Buddhism. • During this season, as the filling station who is full. Autumn is still insanely beautiful. My layman's hobby picture, looks like This is the off season and in a quiet and calm atmosphere. Station of the Keihan and JR, and ideal for sightseeing in the Fushimi Inari Shrine and set.

  • Come to Kyoto everyone goes to the Temple of the Golden Loft or Kiyomizu temple, often watching this. However, this is also a very expensive building, away from the Rice lotus is not far away, you can come to see.

  • The red leaf is amazing here. You should not miss it at all. The only issue that I have for this place is it is so crowded. So many people came here. This is a proof of how beautiful it is. I would recommend arriving there in early morning and get in as the first waves. Go straight to the bridge and enjoy the view. Then walk back to pick up views that you missed on the way. There is nothing in the office garden. Unless you are interested in cultural elements. Don’t go in there if you looking for views only.
  • Amazing place for the Kyoto tourists! It's located at just one stoppage far from Kyoto station. We visited the temple during the peak Momiji period. We had got the opportunity to enjoy the red leaves at fullest. There are lot of photogenic view inside the temple. A must visit spot!
