Kyoto University Reviews
more »The university's co-op cafeteria is open from 8 a.m. on weekdays. It is also available to the general public. The breakfast menu is a choice, and there are no bowls or noodles. I appreciate the japanese-style nutritionally balanced breakfast for about 300 yen. Because it is a quantity seller, it might be a little more expensive if i take a lot of side dishes.
出町柳駅を出て、徒歩で、出町ふたば、満月など、老舗お菓子屋さんに行く途中に、京都大学を見つけました。 more »I left Demachiyanagi Station and found Kyoto University on my way to a long-established confectionery store, such as Demachi Futaba and The Full Moon, on foot.
A huge school which is often cited as being Japan's second best, but also as 'the best' in some fields like Biology and Chemistry. I guess it depends on how who rate the schools but as far as pure research output is concerned, I think Kyoto University is probably the best in the Basic Sciences while Tokyo University is better in the Liberal Arts, Engineering and maybe Mathematics. I think the students are also very awesome and open-minded. The guys and girls I met at Kyoto University were all very nice and amiable to foreigners. Comparison aside, a few labs of Kyoto University are leaders in their field. This is a good school, and perhaps the best for a few fields, if you want to study and pursue a career in academia and are interested in living in Japan unless you have a reason to live only in Tokyo.
when I first stepped into the campus, I feel the nice ambience of its landscape. the clock tower and the big tree is a mandatory spot for me to take a picture. as I walked inside the campus, it was peaceful and the old buildings remind me of some old universities in Indonesia. Lot of students using bikes. The campus' foreign student service were nice and very helpful, once I asked about place for praying. Also foods on cafetaria also good too! Fighting my way to get into this university in following years 😊
