  • We've been to some impressive aquariums and this certainly ranks in the top 10 and probably in the top 5. A free seal show and dolphin show are included in the entry price. We saw sea life we've never...  more »
  • It was the last day of GW for my first-year elementary school grandson and my grandson, so I decided to set up a parking lot in the morning. On the way, the ticket is also on the way, purchased first in Seven-Eleven (it is recommended to purchase in advance because it is crowded) 40 minutes before opening, parking in the parking lot at the back of the apartment building immediately (1800 yen to stop for a day at the day and holiday surcharge, 1200 yen on weekdays) can be done, I was able to line up the fifth entrance 35 minutes before the opening of the park. There are two rows, the left side is the line of the day purchase, the right side is divided with the column of the person who has the advance sale and the year pass, so be careful! At first i was lined up on the left side by mistake, so it was no ^_^ ;) Chibi and i were playing in umekoji park and lawn plaza right next to the opening of the park, but when I looked at the back by chance, there was a considerable procession before the opening of the park, and i was surprised! (@_@) Morning one was correct. In the background of the dolphin show, we can see the bullet train running, and the chibi scares are more excited than the show (^_^;) I heard the sl whistle from the adjacent Kyoto Railway Museum, and the taste that no other aquarium did (^ ^) dolphin show entered 30 minutes before the start, so it was said that it would take water to the third and fourth rows of the center. It only took a little once.

  • Nice selection and presentation of marine life. Not too big, especially compared to Osaka aquarium, but has a better selection of freshwater life. The dolphin show, on the other hand, felt a little contrived and somewhat out of place (quite literally too, considering the poor creatures are in a pool full of artificial seawater in the mountains)
  • The aquarium is definitely on the smaller side, but there are interesting exhibits unique to Kyoto to see. The dolphin performance was good fun, but if you've seen dolphins perform before it will be nothing new. The food is alright but a bit overpriced, as you'd expect. Overall, it's clean and painless to navigate. A solid "ok."
