  • Get off at kumano shrine bus stop and get off at the bus stop right away. Because it is not a big shrine, the prayer can be done at once. It is also close to Kyoto University, and there is a large eight-bridge shop next to the north in the corner facing Logcho Street. There are eight crows in various places. By the way, you can also get the one of the eight crows.

  • Kumano Shrine was enshrined as a guard of the "Forest of Seigoin" during the Heian period. It is the oldest company of Kyoto Mikumano (Kumano Shrine, Shinkumano, Wakaojisha). The festival gods are The First Married Gods of Japan, Ii-son, Andy Amaterasu, and the Son of God Amaterasu Daijin. There is a profit of the marriage, the relief, and the sickness flat healing. Speaking of Seigoin, there is a stone monument of "Yatsubashi birthplace" in the precincts.

  • From a foreigner point of view, this is a small but pretty shrine. In a way it is overshadowed by the bigger shrines of Kyoto.
  • The founder of Shugendo in the second year of Hirohito (811), and the tenth monk of the role, said that the Sun-en was the one who tried to protect Kishu Kumano Okami for the national preservation. Enshrined will enshrines the life of Irizanagi Nami, Iizanagi, and Amaterasu Oogami, Fast tamman life, and the thing solution man. And the Kumano Wakoji Shrine and Shinkumano shrine are called Kyoto Mitsukumano, and we are said to be the oldest. Matchmaking, healthy longevity, and easy delivery is a god of faith. It is revived by the Seigoin-gu, Michihiro Hoshin, which was devastated by Kanbun 6 (1666). The main shrine is relocated the former main shrine of Shimogamo, in 1835. As a guardian of the Shogoin, it is revered as a guardian deity of the Tendai-Shu-ji Motoyama sect Shugendo. For a long time, it was called Shirakawa Kumano or Kumano Gondo, but since the Meiji Restoration, it has been renamed the current Kyoto Kumano shrine by gods separation. Each year, on February 2 and 3, at the time of the Setsubun festival, you can receive the hospitality of tea and sweets for visitors to the Shogoin-bashi and the worshippers next door. Every year in late June, the Chinowa is crowded with worshippers who perform exorcism in the summer. Transportation access is a short walk from the city bus Kumano shrine. Because there is no parking lot, please use 🚗 parking nearby. In addition, since the Kyoto University Medical School attached hospital is adjacent to the north side, before the examination, I recommend praying for your visit as a stronghold of the heart in sickness after the consultation by all means. I sincerely pray that there is a profit of a healthy longevity.
