Daishoin Temple, Kyoto
Daishoin Temple Reviews
Molti di coloro i quali vanno a Hiroshima fanno una visita all'isola di Miyajima dove si trova il famoso Santuario shintoista Itsukushima e il famoso Torii immerso nell'oceano. Fra l'altro, il Torii, ... more »Many of those who go to Hiroshima make a visit to the island of Miyajima where the famous Itsukushima Shinto shrine and the famous Torii plunged into the ocean. Among other things, the Torii, when there is low tide is within walking distance. In my opinion what cannot be unseen is the Daishoin Temple. It can be reached from porto, going beyond the sanctuary. After 20 m road (uphill) you begin to see along the way, on the side of the trail, many small stone Buddha with different expressions and red, yellow and red wool hats, stripes up on top of the temple. But what's not to be missed is the cave of Henjokutsu. Is barely visible from the outside, is at the top of the stairs on the left, but once you enter you will be "dazzled" by numerous lanterns that illuminate the various Buddhist icons.
L'isola Miyajima, è conosciuta in tutto il mondo per il suo iconico torii galleggiante. The complex consists of several buildings connected by walkways and supported by pillars placed in the sea. The Council, especially if time is not much, is to go beyond the shrine to flush out the hidden wonder, the temple Daishō-in. Among the most impressive of this complex, in perfect communion with nature, is the garden where many small statues of Rakan (disciples of the Buddha, monks in the broad sense), each with a different expression and carefully adorned with headgear and/or scarf in different colours, they escorted the stone steps and accompany the visitor to the temple's main square. Another absolutely beautiful place is the Henjyokutsu Cave, a cave illuminated by hundreds of green lanterns with their light yellowish colour the 88 symbols of Buddhist temples. There are 88 major Buddhist icons that are related to the pilgrimage of Shikoku 88 temples. For those who believe by visiting the cave you receive the same blessings instead of visiting all the temples on the pilgrimage route. This is truly a fascinating place, is one of the most mysterious and interesting temples under vine in Japan. A unique spiritual experience, beliefs and rituals that characterize each of its corners, the atmosphere perfectly in harmony with the surrounding nature, where objects and different architectures coexist in perfect harmony.
An incredible place. So much beauty, harmony, meanings. So much art organically inscribed in the surrounding nature!
