  • It is located across national highway 292 opposite the road station Kusatsu Sports Chaya Park, and you can go back and forth on the covered footbridge. Admission is free Berz is the only doctor invited from Germany in 1868 as a professor of the Faculty of Medicine of Imperial University. If Siebold was the first person to introduce medicine to Japan, Belts was one of the doctors who laid the foundation for Japanese medicine. In his later years, he served as the Emperor's nephew and was awarded the first prize. He visited Kusatsu Onsen two years after coming to Japan, discovered that its highly acidic spring quality was effective for skin diseases, and was invited by Germany as a professor at the School of Medicine at One Imperial University. Two years after coming to Japan, i visited Kusatsu Onsen around Meiji 11, and discovered that its highly acidic spring quality was effective for skin diseases, and prescribed Berz water. Berz water is still sold as glycerin potash solution. It's a simple memorial with just photos, statues and panels in a less spacious space, but it's very interesting. How thin the book of internal medicine disease sine in Japan of the dawn of medicine. "Belts and Japan" for 200 yen? It was purchased because the booklet was sold. In addition to the efficacy of hot springs, many papers have published papers on Tsugumasushi disease and reported to the world. There are few tourists, and the quiet B-class spot is very good.

  • Bertz came to Japan at the invitation of the government in The Meiji Era and served as a samurai doctor for the Imperial Family while teaching at the University of Tokyo. His achievements in the development of Japanese medicine for a long time were greatly credited to him as the father of modern Japanese medicine. In the Meiji era, he visited Kusatsu and praised kusatsu's unique bathing method, spring quality, and the wonderful environment, and was active in the development of Kusatsu. In the exhibition room, kusatsu onsen is introduced to the world as the world's first-class hot spring resort, and the museum exhibits materials that tell the history of Dr. Bertz, a German doctor who is known as the benefactor of Kusatsu, and his relationship with Kusatsu Onsen.
