With a lush rolling landscape and fresh clear waters filled with colorful carp, Suizenji Jojuen Garden remains a welcoming sanctuary and authentic example of a traditional Japanese garden. Originally constructed in 1636, the gardens gradually grew to include the Izumi Shrine, a Noh theater, and Kokin-Denju-no-Ma teahouse. The landscaping is said to represent the 53 stations of "Tokaido," a well-known route between Edo and Kyoto. Stroll through delicate foliage, across hills and along the edge of ponds, observing the beauty of the miniature Mount Fuji, a landmark at the heart of the park. • Super peaceful place to visit. Remember to show your tram pass for 10% discount for entrance. Lotsa signboard in English explaining the structure and history. Definately worth a visit.
  • Had a wonderful time strolling around Suizenji Park during our camper trip. Nearby parking was no problem, even for our bigger sized vehicle. (parking lot used by tour-busses). @yapfukuoka
