  妊婦さんの戌の日のお参り先として有名です。神事の後の石をいただく際には、玉のように丸い石を持ち帰ると玉のような子が産まれるとか。 無事生まれた後、ひとつ石を拾って、２つの石をお返ししますが、近くの天降川で拾うのはいかがでしょうか。川まで出産に縁がありそうな名前ですね。 ちなみに、神事の後、妊婦さんが鳥居をくぐって神社の外に出てから最初にすれ違った人間と同じ性別の子が産まれるとか。ちゃんと行き来に鳥居を通りましょう。

  鹿児島神宮の摂社で安産守護の神社です。 すぐ前には卑弥呼神社があり、こちらは縁結びもあるので出会いから出産までこの周辺だけで守って頂けそうです。 ここの位置は御祭神の天津日高彦穂穂出見尊、豊玉比賣命が都として高千穂宮を経営された正殿のあったところで、そのまま社殿として祀ったもので鹿児島神宮の起こりでもあるとのことです。 御本殿前の石塔に小石がたくさんありますが、御神体の代わりにその一つをいただいてお産後はひとつ加えてお返しする慣習があります。 岩田帯はこの石體（いわた）神社よりでた言葉という説もあります。 御朱印はありません。 併設されている駐車場でも良いですし卑弥呼神社の前にはトイレもある広い駐車場もあります。 こちらの狛犬はなかなか愛嬌のある顔をしているので是非拝見ください。
