  • The parking lot was about 150 m away from the shrine. From the parking lot, go through the umebayashi to the shrine precincts. There is a guide of the junta to worship through the torii, and the appearance of the dog is left and right when going through the torii. It is not a familiar dog, but a tiger's dog, and the face is really a tiger anymore! It is not a dog system, but a cat-based face. Moreover, the tag in the child-rearing is in the dog on the right. If you look closely, there is a small dog between the legs! It was lovely, and the god of the delivery was convinced, too. Just by going there, I felt relaxed and felt kind. By the way, this is Kagami Shrine located at the foot of Kagamiyama. Please note that it is not Kagamiyama Shrine which is ahead of the mountain path.

  • It is not a mirror shrine at the top of the Kagami-yama that I stopped by sightseeing in Karatsu. The parking lot is located about 5 minutes away from the hotel. It is a thing with the shrine according to the venerable. It is a very historical shrine. There is a front shrine in the right and the front when entering the precincts. Because it was in the morning of midsummer, there were few people and it was a quiet shrine.

  • At the foot of Kagamiyama (Mirror Mountain) is Kagami shrine 神社 (jinja) which actually has two shrines set in a forest. When you enter to your right is a shrine which you approach first and the second is away to your left. There is also a third building which many people go to pray to receive relief from their physical ailments, this is bordered by ancient stones. next there is a very old tree which on one side appears like the front of a heavily pregnant woman, the priest explained to us that people wanting children visit this tree to pray also. finally there is a very small museum with very old ( 700 to 1000 years) katana blades (Apparently shrines made great hiding places for these weapons after WW2), and other treasures. The priest and his wife are incredibly helpful and kind and both speak a little English. There are many stories and explanations to be learnt about this shrine, and we hope to return again.
  • Plum Grove is a reputable street. The forest is dignified as a dense.
