  • It is a cut which is counted as one of the seven mouths of Kamakura. It leads from a quiet area of the twelve places in the east end of Kamakura city to Rokuura, Kanazawa-ku, Yokohama, and was an important base as a logistics aorta supporting the town of Kamakura during the Kamakura period. Almost 800 years ago, under the direction of Hojo Taiki, there is a description that the construction of Rokuura Road was carried out, from the legend that the person of Yoshihide Asai nazaburo made this cut overnight, it is sometimes written as Asaina Asaina. Asahina also reads asaina. Near the top of the pass, which is the boundary with Yokohama, there was a tea shop where travelers could rest and sell salt from the Kanazawa area, which was also a salt producing area. Asahinakiri-dori is a relic that best conveys the old road of medieval cities, such as an artificial cliff along a dark road in the daytime and a cave called Yagura where the buddha was carved.

  • Do you know the "Asamiri-dori"? It is known as the main road in one of seven entrances which enter Kamakura by one of the seven Kamakura openings in the morning and the Nankiri Street. This is the ancient road of the country designated historic sites connecting Rokuura and Kamakura, Kanazawa-ku, Yokohama. It is relatively easy to walk through the Kumano branch near Kumano Shrine There is also a place where the wall of the cliff continues to feel dark for a moment on both sides of the road, but the Buddha carved on the cliff, the landscape that opened the mountainous part of nature rich is left.
