  • They had sold it to us as a place to see absolutely and where to stop for dinner in one of the many restaurants/pubs. To be seen in my opinion it should be seen because it is really special, hidden from the bright district of Shinjuku and characterized by low houses, small and all narrow to each other. But stop to eat maybe if you are in the company of someone from the place who can and accompany you. We didn't want to stop because it gave us the impression of being a shady and infamous place. In pubs and restaurants almost no indication in English, many are private clubs and/or do not accept tourists. Characteristic to see but after two minutes we went to eat somewhere else.

  • Next to Shinjuku Kabukicho, there are many shops with a certain taste. There are many bars and snack shops from ramen shops. It is not erotic, and it is feeling like the place where we talk while drinking sake though it wrote as an adult's playground. Because the shop itself is small everywhere, the conversation is bounced from the first time to the person who sat next to me. Recently, there are many foreign tourists, and it might be one of the places that seems to be Japan.

  • Golden Gai is a gem in Shinjuku. It houses over 30 small traditional Japanese restaurants of all different styles. This unnamed skewer house served us very well for dinner with the chef constantly providing different flavors using various cuts of pork and beef with a variety of marinades and dressings. The price is very fair, however, it's very easy to get carried away by the delicious flavors and the atmosphere. All in all, great experience. Even the local Japanese business men use these restaurants daily. Now that shows how good the quality must be at each restaurant.
  • This place is awesome! Just a bunch of small beers that fit up to 8 people. The bartenders we went to were all really friendly, we ran into other tourists and they were having a good time too. I recommend this fun location to anyone who wants to get a beer or mixed drink
