Kabira Bay, Ishigaki

4.4
Kabira Bay, the most photographed sight on the island, remains noted for its pristine white sands, blue waters, and lush vegetation. Although it's not safe to swim here due to strong currents and the presence of jelly fish, you can enjoy the picturesque vista from land, or take a ride on a glass-bottomed boat to observe the coral reefs and manta rays from the surface of the water. • Kabira Bay is has been chosen to a blossoms in Japan and also in the Michelin Green Guide Japon, Okinawa Prefecture only three stars is regarded, when you come to Ishigaki Island tourist attractions not to be missed. Kabira Bay water is clear and beautiful. By the way Kabira Bay in the tide the beach is prohibited. The glass-bottomed boat ride recomendations is.

  • May be worth a good look at the weather radar on the north side of the island, so not good weather in the southern city during the visit. Also, honestly will sigh beautiful scenery.

  • Lovely view point overlooking the bay and you can enjoy a nice walk along the waterfront. There are a few places to eat where the bus drops you off but none by the sea. If you’re using public transport check the times before you leave as the buses are quite infrequent!
  • It's a beautiful bay and certainly worthwhile visiting. However, there are a few things to bear in mind (which is why it doesn't get 5 stars!). 1 - there are no beachfront bars or restaurants. The only restaurants are very small and away from the bay, so don't expect a nice view while you eat. 2 - despite seeing MANY glass bottom boats going out, we were turned away from several companies due to "low tide". Potentially because we're western? 3 - no swimming. 4 - public transport to the area is very infrequent. So all you can do really is grab an ice cream and sit on the beach!
